It is a towering, statuesque wine that completely saturates the palate in all directions, seemingly at the same time. The 2010 stands out for its beguiling, totally exquisite aromatics. The trademark Richebourg structure is present, but this seems to be a vintage where finesse takes precedence over sheer power. Now this has a very interesting bouquet, quite distinct from the Richebourg and the Grands Echezeaux. It is much more exuberant and lifted, very perfumed with fresh strawberry, red cherries, dried rose petals and a touch of quince. This is so lively and vivacious, as if it borrowed some of the succulence from the 2009 vintage. The palate is quite precocious on the entry, the mouth instantaneously tingling with glee. There is a beautiful crescendo before fanning out towards its silky caressing finish. There is something playful and joyous about this Romanee-Saint-Vivant, carefree and alluring, a wine to be enjoyed as much as respected. 1,164 cases produced. The Roman?e-Saint-Vivant Les Quatre Journaux 2011 has an intriguing bouquet: black cherry fruit, blueberry, touches of licorice and aniseed just hovering off-stage not knowing whether to come on or not. Time will tell. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe, succulent tannins that lend this real corpulence. Yet there is not quite developed the complexity and precision on the finish compared to other grand cru 2011s poured blind in this flight.(Special Interim Issue Report, The Wine Advocate, 30th Nov 2014)

It offers very pure fruit on the nose: raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate, later blueberry with plenty of roundness and sensuality (more so than the broody 2006.) The palate is very well balanced, underpinned by super-fine tannin. I love the harmony of this Bonnes-Mares, that tang of sour cherry that keeps you alert. Then it tightens up towards the finish as if to say, it has more to give if you just afford it more time in bottle. This is superb. 1158 bottles produced. The palate is defined by its very smooth texture: seamless and so lithe in the mouth. There is impressive purity here and while you could describe this as "showy" (not an adjective that I often apply to Christophe's wines), that is meant in a positive way. There is the substance to suggest this will age with style -- a sophisticated and thoroughly enjoyable Bonnes-Mares to savor. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and firm, with an ample and assertive chassis of chalky tannins, formidable power and concentration, with a long, grippy finish. This is cut from very different cloth than the Musigny that preceded it in our tasting, but it is taut rather than hard: the only missing ingredient is time.(Interim End of March 2018, The Wine Advocate, 30th Mar 2018) ¥É¥á¡¼¥Ì ¥ë¥í¥ï°ìÍ÷¤Ø

The huge, boisterous bouquet is the first sign the Corton is just as dazzling from bottle as it was from barrel. Layers of fruit saturate the palate as this flashy, exuberant wine continues to put on weight as it sits in the glass. This is a decidedly opulent Burgundy that pushes the boundaries of what longtime DRC drinkers expect from the winery, but it is a gorgeous, striking wine in its own way. It has a gorgeously bright dark ruby/purple color and extremely complex aromatics of fresh herbs, Asian spices, creamy cherries, super-ripe blackberries, and vanilla-imbued oak. This superb wine offers a mouthful of silky-textured cherries, blueberries, plums, boysenberries, earth, minerals, and spiced oak. This masterpiece is full-bodied, dense (yet extremely elegant and defined), thickly-textured, and immensely concentrated. Moreover, I sensed this wine was holding a significant amount in reserve!(118, The Wine Advocate, 31st Aug 1998) ¥É¥á¡¼¥Ì ¥É ¥é ¥í¥Þ¥Í ¥³¥ó¥Æ¥£ °ìÍ÷¤Ø

There is some maturity showing on the brick-ish rim. The nose is forward and earthy with sage, dried orange peel and a touch of mint, though it feels a little more diffuse that I was expecting. The palate is balanced and quite savory, perhaps more than I was expecting. It is an enjoyable Richebourg, but it does not have the stamp of authority. I suspect there are better bottles than this, ergo my plus-sign next to a somewhat parsimonious score.(The Wine Advocate, Nov 30, 2015) ¥É¥á¡¼¥Ì ¥É ¥é ¥í¥Þ¥Í ¥³¥ó¥Æ¥£ °ìÍ÷¤Ø

Having not tasted the La Tâche 1999 since it had been bottled, I was intrigued to see how it was developing. Monumentally, is the correct answer. First and foremost this is a seriously long-term La Tâche that is maturing at a glacial pace. Indeed, I left most in my glass and waited for it to open. An hour later and it was firing on all cylinders. It is blessed with an incredibly intense, powerful nose that loses its broodiness with aeration and eventually unveils a crystalline set of mineral-soaked aromatics that sport a decadent, almost exotic floral note-wilted violets and potpourri. The palate has a quite astonishing structure, but it is more the symmetry that makes this one of the greatest vintages of recent years. It unfolds with daring passion to reveal layers of plush but focused dark plum and cassis fruit that just seem to flow and flow on the never-ending finish. It is a multifaceted, multidimensional masterpiece that really needs another decade in bottle.(The Wine Advocate, Apr 30, 2015) ¥É¥á¡¼¥Ì ¥É ¥é ¥í¥Þ¥Í ¥³¥ó¥Æ¥£ °ìÍ÷¤Ø
